You’d like to- or have been told to- go on a ketogenic diet or “at least” look into restricting your carbohydrate intake. But you don’t know where to start and how to do it in a safe way.

  • You’ve spent countless hours trying to figure it out by yourself but you’re frustrated by the wealth of (conflicting) information online.
  • Maybe you’ve already started a ketogenic diet but you’re unsure whether it’s for you and you’re lacking support.
  • If you’ve researched only a little bit, you’ll know what a minefield it can be trying to get quality advice and support from an experienced practitioner.

The Ketogenic Challenge

Committing to this diet can be challenging.

Possibly, you’ve heard of the Ketogenic Diet and are ready to give it a try, but are unsure where to begin, how to best prepare or how to ensure your success.

Give me a few hours and I’ll guide you through the steps that I’ve used to safely implement the ketogenic diet with many of my clients. I show you what it takes, what support you need and help you consider this big change without overwhelm and frustration.

This Course is for you if you...

  • are absolutely new to the ketogenic diet. Your doctor or consultant has recommended the diet to you but you have no idea where to begin.
  • are confused, frustrated and overwhelmed. You would like to try the ketogenic diet but you can’t find reliable resources that you can trust.
  • are disillusioned because most of the resources you’ve come across for the ketogenic diet are for weight loss and epilepsy, without a focus on nutrient density.
  • have started implementing the ketogenic diet after trying to tailor a programme for yourself but you gave up quickly because it was too difficult to do on your own.
  • are scared that you might make the wrong food choices because you don’t have any solid nutrition knowledge.
  • need a shortcut because you’re too tired to research.
  • You're reluctant to invest in a series of consultations with a keto practitioner because you're not 100% sure the lifestyle is suitable for you.

I'm a cancer survivor that has been on the exact same journey.

Like you, I  knew that “having a balanced diet, exercise and getting plenty of sleep” just wasn’t enough  and I wanted to give my body the best chance of recovering and protecting itself from anoter recurrence.

I came across research suggesting that sugar could be promoting the growth of my tumour. That cancer is a metabolic disease - which means that cancer cells produce their energy in a completely different way than healthy cells.

The research made a lot of sense to me and with clinical trials underway, numerous oncologists and reputable organisations have started exploring the ketogenic approach.

I was hugely l enthusiastic and embraced the ketogenic diet with gusto to help you manage my cancer.

BUT- I ran into many challenges and became frustrated very quickly. The idea and theory sounded great, but what on earth was I going to cook? What do you eat if you cut sugar and almost all carbohydrates out of your diet?

Let me take the guess work out of your way and answer many questions complete beginners have when they first come across the ketogenic lifestyle. I’ll also give you a good structure to prepare and start implementing the diet. As an experienced practitioner, lecturer and speaker at conferences and in cancer centres, I know exactly what the main “pain points” and questions are. I know that implementing a ketogenic lifestyle can be frustrating, time consuming and exhausting if you don’t know where to start and what information to rely on. You see, most keto resources that are available online are geared towards weight loss or epilepsy.

I developed this beginner course on the ketogenic diet based on not only my own personal journey, but also the experiences of many clients. I have identified the initial stumbling blocks and easy steps to work around them. In fact, clients from all over the world have received my guidance and support with a ketogenic nutritional approach.

Now, I want YOU to have access to what you need to successfully learn about a ketogenic diet without overwhelm.

My Cancer Journey

I was 28 when I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, an ocular melanoma.

Conventional treatments helped to stop the growth of my tumour but didn’t have the long-term impacts for which we were hoping. The side effects from the treatments were severe and I felt like my body was out of sync.

After a relapse and lots of struggles with vision loss and other side effects, I was confronted with a difficult choice: taking my eye out or trying regular injections into the eye.

Since my diagnosis, I had been researching and studying nutrition for cancer and was frustrated by the conflicting information available to me. Still, I persisted because I knew deep down that nutrition was the most important step on my road to better health.

All the time, much of the information on cancer and nutrition focused on the benefits of raw foods, vegetarianism and veganism, plant-based diets and gluten-free whole grains like buckwheat and quinoa. I tried everything!

But I soon realized that my “clean” eating approach with lots of fruit and vegetables, whole grains and very little fat or protein hadn’t made any real difference for me.

In 2012, I came across the ketogenic diet and the notion of “cancer as a metabolic disease.” I was immediately fascinated by the research and the fact that ketogenics was used for diagnostic purposes (e.g. PET scans), but not for cancer management. I became very curious.

I spent a long time reading the latest studies, networking with experts in the field and also experimenting with recipes. I was intimidated and even a little afraid of starting the ketogenic diet.

Then, news of my eye getting worse pushed me to the limits and I just HAD to do something proactive and give the ketogenic diet a go- there was nothing to lose!

You see, in my case - and in many others - making small changes and "eating well" just isn’t enough to make a difference.

Something radical needed to happen
- a metabolic shift in my body.

I had to teach my body to burn fat instead of glucose. I also had to change my way to exercise, become gentler with myself and learn to ask for help.

By making these significant changes to my diet and lifestyle, I slowly regained control of my life and felt more confident in myself. Now, I want to share this revolutionary approach with others.

That’s why I created this Keto Course.

In this Keto Course, I give you the support you’ll need to implement dietary changes, as well as all my experience and practical tips I’ve gathered over the past seven years of my career helping others.

The Keto Course will help you focus so that you’re not distracted and get a grip on what matters most- your own personal well-being.

It is available to anyone, anywhere! It’s a self-paced online course, which means that you can live anywhere in the world and access the material any time as long as you have your computer and an internet connection.

  • q-iconCan I cure my cancer with the ketogenic diet?

No. While there are many case reports and pre-clinical studies confirming the effectiveness and safety of the ketogenic diet, we are still waiting for the results of large human clinical trials. I don’t recommend doing the ketogenic diet as a stand-alone treatment (i.e. without doing conventional treatment) and suggest you always consult your oncologist before embarking on a ketogenic diet. As with any cancer support tool or treatment, there is no guarantee that it will help you stay cancer free.

  • q-iconCan you guarantee that I will be in nutritional ketosis after going through the course?

No, there is no guarantee that you will be in nutritional ketosis after following the programme. Everybody responds differently- some people go into ketosis within a few days whereas for others it can take weeks or sometimes even months. You will be on a clear path to nutritional ketosis, though. You might need a session with an experienced keto practitioner who can fine tune your protocol, but you won’t have to spend money on a whole series of consultations.

  • q-iconWhat happens if I suffer from food allergies or intolerances?

There will be lots of recipes, guidelines and tips available that also cater for different allergies and intolerances. I have several tools that can help you detect intolerances.

  • q-iconHow can I fine tune my programme?

You can fine tune your programme based on your blood tests and food preferences/sensitivities but also depending on where you live and the seasons. You might benefit from a session with an experienced keto practitioner to help you with this.

  • q-iconCan everybody do this diet?

No. I would be lying  if I said it was easy and didn’t require any particular commitment! You need to be willing and able (ie not suffering from any of the contraindications) to make change, otherwise you might not get the desired results. It’s the same with many things in life: If you don’t put in the work, you will likely not see the desired outcome.

  • q-iconCan I do it if I have a very limited food budget?

This is a very common problem. The ketogenic diet is based on whole instead of processed foods and some of the most nutritious foods on the planets are also very good value. You WILL have to try new foods, though, and also learn to cook your own meals if you don’t already do so.

  • q-iconWhat if I’m a vegetarian or vegan?

I’ve guided clients through a vegetarian or vegan ketogenic diet before, however it’s not something I encourage because it does require specialized guidance, especially when it comes to supplements. The ketogenic diet is restrictive as it is, and following a vegetarian approach will narrow down your food choices even more. I like a plant-based approach that also has some high quality animal foods- within very clear limits.

I know you want to get going as soon as possible- you will get access to ALL modules as soon as you sign up!
